A Night of Theatre, Fellowship, and $8,600 Raised for Recovery

Some nights entertain, and then some nights move the heart. Thursday, July 10, 2025, reminded us why community matters and how the arts can ignite hope.

Each year, the Art Park Players of Deer Park, TX, generously dedicate a preview performance to benefit The Wheelhouse, a place where men fighting addiction find recovery. This year’s Theatre Night wasn’t just a performance; it was a powerful celebration of the generosity of a community that believes in transformation.

Before the show began, guests gathered for a delicious Italian dinner catered by the beloved Antonio’s Italian Grill. Laughter and conversation filled the room as supporters broke bread and shared stories with one another.

The evening also featured a special presentation on the State of The Wheelhouse, offering guests a deeper glimpse into the life-changing work being done every day.

Then the curtain rose, and the magic began.

The Art Park Players lit up the stage with a dazzling performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. With every note, and every heartfelt scene, the audience was swept away by the deeper story of hope.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of attendees, donors, and our cherished corporate sponsorsTexas Flange, Pearland Coffee Roasters, Bauer Visual Graphics, Aqua Solutions, and Capital Bank Deer Park—we raised $8,600 in one evening.

To everyone who came, cheered, donated, and believed in our mission: thank you. You are helping rebuild what addiction tried to break.

We can’t wait to see you at next year’s Theatre Night.
