The Wheelhouse Community Rides and Bids for Recovery - A Record-Breaking $127,871 Raised!

What a weekend! On October 10–11, 2025, our community came together for The Wheelhouse’s 18th Annual Monument Run and Cake Auction, two incredible days filled with motorcycles, homemade cakes, fellowship, and a shared mission: to support men and their families on their journey to recovery.

This year’s event was nothing short of inspiring. Thanks to the tireless work of volunteers, the generosity of donors, the enthusiasm of riders, and the spirited bidding of cake auction participants, we raised a record-breaking $127,871, surpassing last year’s total of $113,895.

Sweet Success: The Wheelhouse Cake Auction

On Friday evening, the Jimmy Burke Activity Center in Deer Park came alive with laughter and friendly competition. The air was filled with the aroma of chili dogs and Frito pie as our community gathered for fellowship and the highly anticipated Cake Auction.

Bidders raised an incredible $28,100 (just shy of last year’s $30,000), with 35 stunning homemade cakes competing for top honors. From the Most Beautiful and Most Creative to the Most Unique and Spookiest Cake, every entry represented the love and dedication of our community bakers.

Behind the scenes, volunteers worked tirelessly to set up tables, cook food, organize cakes, and decorate the hall, proving once again that it’s not just about the cakes, but the cause they serve.

The Monument Run: Riding for Recovery

Saturday morning brought the roar of engines and the spirit of unity as 153 riders gathered at the San Jacinto Monument for The Wheelhouse Monument Run, sponsored by Pearland Coffee Roasters and Texas Flange. The morning began with breakfast and registration, followed by a scenic, brand new route through the Bay Area.

The day continued back at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center for the Community Rally, where families and folks supporting addiction recovery joined in for food and fellowship. Our recovery speaker, Iron Mike, inspired everyone with his story of transformation, reminding us why The Wheelhouse exists: to give men a second chance at life.

Fueling Hope and Change

Every dollar raised goes directly to The Wheelhouse’s mission of providing men with the opportunity to rebuild their lives free from addiction. This year’s funds — enough to support 106 men for their first 30 days of recovery — will help cover housing, meals, and access to our life-changing program.

That means 106 men will have the chance to start over, to find peace and purpose, free from the bondage of addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Gratitude That Runs Deep

We extend our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer, baker, rider, sponsor, and friend who made this year’s event possible. To our sponsors — Pearland Coffee Roasters, Texas Flange, Aqua Solutions, Integrated Circuit Solutions, TF Companies, The Wheelhouse Alumni Association, Advance Remodeling, Iron Mike’s Motorcycles and The Next Chapter Cosmetics, your partnership powers our mission.

To the families and supporters who show up year after year, thank you for believing in recovery, and in the men and their families we serve. You are the heart of The Wheelhouse.

Until Next Year… SAVE THE DATES … October 2nd and 3rd, 2026

Together, we’re helping rebuild what addiction tried to break.

See you at next year’s 19th Annual Monument Run and Cake Auction!
